No One Fights Alone Event - Ken Sterling Fundraiser

Cost: $75 per person
(Tickets will be sold prior to event and at the door. Please, if you know you're coming, purchase tickets ahead of time).
What's included: 2.5 hours beer and wine open bar, buffet style food from BBQ King Smokehouse (pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, cornbread), Live Music by "Face The Music" band, 50/50 Cash Prize Raffle, Raffle Basket Prizes, and Silent Auction.

Ken's Story
IAFF Local 4092 is raising funds to help support our Brother, Lieutenant Ken Sterling, as he courageously battles his diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
In this family, no one fights alone!
Ken is adored by not just his loving wife and family, but all of his brothers and sisters with the Schaumburg Professional Firefighter's Association. He continues to be a face of inspiration through his strength and endurance. Join us as we pledge to stand by, and support Ken, in any way we can!
Latest Update:
Our next step begins on Friday. Now that Ken has failed all the conventional treatments for his lymphoma, we enter the world of clinical trials. Our first step is an immunotherapy drug that will be administered once every 3 weeks.
Thankfully, this should be easier on his body than the CAR-T treatment.
We plan to talk to our doctor about beginning the search for a stem cell donor match. I will post the details here if anyone wants to get tested. Ideal donors are people who have never been pregnant, as any previous pregnancy increases the risk of rejection. Also, younger donors are preferred.
Donate blood stem cells today!
We officially got the ball rolling for the search for a stem cell donor for Ken. If someone ends up being a perfect match, it will require a blood stem cell donation (not a bone marrow donation). Anyone who is interested is encouraged to register on the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry, but again, you will not be donating bone marrow as our hospital will harvest the stem cells from the blood.
